Florida's Beach Diving Capital
With reefs located only 100 yards off the coast, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea has become the most popular spot beach diving in Florida. Divers can discover the SS Copenhagen, a 19th Century British steamship that wrecked in May 1900 less than a mile offshore or take a look at even more beautiful reefs located a 10 minute swim further out.
At the center of downtown Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, Anglin’s Square is a great place to take a break from strolling along the coast. Find your next favorite restaurant or step into one of the local shops. You can also take a walk along Anglin’s Fishing Pier and try your luck at some leisurely fishing for $2.
